What We Believe

â€œReaching the lost and helping the hurting within the community around us”

What's in a name anyway?

Our goal is to present a clear Biblical message in terms that will be relevant to the people of our community.  Jesus made himself approachable to all and we will strive to reflect that in all we do as a church.  A primary way we do this is at our Sunday morning worship services through contemporary music, drama, life stories and practical spoken word.
Welcome to Crossroads!

Crossroads! Where real life intersects a real God...

We desire to help those who stand at the crossroads of life discover the path of new life in Jesus Christ, which leads to the revitalization of all relationships.
(Jeremiah 6:16; Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20)

Community!  The mission-field of our mission...

We seek to be relevant to our community by responding to needs which God places before us and by providing practical Biblical direction for life.
(Acts 2:42-47; 1 John 1:3-4; James 1:27)

CovenantChurch simplified, relationships vitalized...

Covenant churches focus on the essentials of the Christian faith, while celebrating the “Good News” of Jesus Christ and the wonderful implications this news has for our lives.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5; Romans 1:16-17; Jeremiah 29:31)

Church! Jumping on board with what God is up to...

We are one of God’s out-posts in the greater Yelm community in partnership with the greater church body of Christ.
(John 17)

Crossroads is an Evangelical Covenant Church

What does the ECC believe?

The Evangelical Covenant Church seeks to form and nurture communities that are deeply committed to Jesus Christ and passionately engaged in Christ’s mission in the world. The purpose of Covenant affirmations is to make clear the values and principles that have guided the Evangelical Covenant Church since its founding in 1885.
For Covenant people, our essential beliefs are summed up in what we call Covenant Affirmations:
  • We affirm the centrality of the word of God.
  • We affirm the necessity of the new birth.
  • We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.
  • We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.
  • We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.
  • We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ.
